Sur plus de cent cinquante églises construites ou reconstruites dans l'ensemble du territoire savoyard entre 1815 et 1860, dix l'ont été en Maurienne, dont la première, dès 1820 à Albiez-le-Jeune. Venez découvrir son intérieur décoré par Joachim Maggia.L'église Saint-Germain a été construite au XIXème siècle dans un style architectural néo-classique savoyard. On le reconnait par sa façade simple et sobre. L'intérieur de l'église est décoré par Joachim Maggia. Sur la coupole est représenté, Saint Germain porté par des nuages et accompagné d'anges. On trouve aussi sur la voute de nef les trois vertus théologales qui sont la foi, l'espérance et la charité. Enfin, de part et d'autres du chœur, vous trouverez quatre évangélistes qui illustrent l'art du trompe l'œil de Joachim Maggia. L'autel a été financé par Alexis Ducruez et Augustin Ducruet Augustin et réalisé par les frères Gilarldi. Ils ont réutilisé les œuvres de Louis Borrelin (sculpteur baroque) avec un style plus néo-classique. Vous trouverez enfin à l'intérieur quelques tableaux de la sacristie.

From Albiez-le-Jeune to Montrond, travel along the little-used roads of our mountains and their sumptuous landscapes, on the heights of the Arvan valley to link their churches.On your way, observe numerous chapels and geological curiosities. Discover the two predominant architectural styles of Savoy: the baroque and neo-classical. We advise you to do this tour on Thursday afternoon Thursday afternoon when all 3 are open. This itinerary is presented as a one-way trip, but it is also very pleasant with electric assistance. An all-terrain bike is indicated on certain portions.

Follow the signpost "Les pas de Gargantua".
1/ Follow the path towards the village of Albiez-le-Jeune, then follow the road on the left until the goat fountain.
2/ Take the path going down to La Ducherie du Bas, then take the road on the left towards le Moine de Champlan.
3/ At the Moine de Champlan, continue on the downhill path and then come back to Le Buisson by the forest track.
4/ At Le Buisson, take the path on the right which goes up to the road. Take the road for 150m then take the path on the right to join the Ducherie du Bas.
5/ The return is done by the same route.
