A la déclaration de la Guerre, le 08 septembre 1939, l'abbé Fredon, curé de la paroisse de Dompierre-les-Eglises proposa de construire au bord de la rivière Brame, une chapelle à la Vierge pour demander la paix. Cet oratoire est donc dédié à "Notre Dame de la Paix". Le premier dimanche de septembre, a lieu un pélerinage avec messe. Le chemin de croix, qui contourne la colline, possède 14 stations, une fontaine dite Coucu (peut être une déformation de coucou, l'oiseau), et au sommet du parcours le calvaire. (Source M. Filleux)
