Looking for ideas for easy walks in constantly-changing scenery? Leaving Samoëns behind, you can get a wonderful view of Mont-Blanc from the Tête des Saix. From there, head for La Combe de Gers with its lake and gîte-cum-restaurant, then return to Samoëns or Sixt Fer-à-Cheval.

On the way to the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval, stop off to admire the Gorges des Tines and visit the village of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval. Finally, you'll arrive at the largest mountain cirque in the Alps: the Fer-à-Cheval.
