



Road closed from 30/11 to 15/04, trail inaccessible.
You will overlook the splendid Oueil valley. Best visited in autumn during the deer rut and for the multicoloured, shimmering colours of the forest!
The start is just after the junction of Bourg d'Oueil and Port de Balès, towards Cirès. Then follow the GRP signs to reach Lake Paloumères, Port de Pierrefitte and descend to the village of Bourg d'Oueil.
1 - At the entrance to the village of Bourg d'Oueil, start climbing the Port de Balès road for a few metres.
2 - Take the path on your right towards Cirès (sign).
3 - When you reach the Romanesque chapel in Cirès, climb up to your left to return to the Port de Balès road.
4 - At the hairpin bend, take the track on your right and follow it (red and yellow GRPays markings).
5 - At the intersection (1700m), leave the track and cross the airfield to reach the small lake of Paloumères.
6 - Continue straight ahead, then take the track on your left to reach the Port de Balès (1,755 m).
7 - Descend a few metres towards the Oueil valley, then take the track on your right towards the Port de Pierrefitte, passing in front of the unmanned Mont Né refuge and its spring.
8 - At the Port de Pierrefitte and its cromlechs, take the path plunging down to your left to reach Bourg D'Oueil.
