From Durtol to the Chaîne des Puys in 2 days
Description
A two-day tour of the Volcanoes, culminating in "Le Puy-de-Dôme".
Two days of hiking through an astonishing variety of landscapes, from the town to the edge of the fault, to the highlands of the Plateau des Dômes, where the village of Laschamps welcomes you for the first day's stage.
Day 1: Durtol to Laschamps via Sarcenat, La Fontaine du Berger, Le Puy-de-Dôme (18.4 km).
Day 2: Laschamps to Durtol via Manson, La Font-de-l'Arbre, Le Cheix, Orcines (18.1 km).
Departures: Parking du stade, Durtol, direction "Vulcania" / gare SNCF, Durtol, direction "Vulcania".
Difficulties: Significant gradient. Ascent and descent of the Puy-de-Dôme.
From the "Chemin des Gouris" crossroads, you can reach the "Maison de Site".
