La voie verte de Laroin à Artiguelouve

With the Gave de Pau as a naturalist's guide, this healthy bike ride connects two towns on the southern edge of the Pau urban area, Laroin and Artiguelouve. No athletic feat is involved, but the pleasure of riding with the family in a safe area, without crossing roads, along the water coming down from the Pyrenees. The path takes advantage of the shade of the alders and poplars, of the freshness of the river Gave which alternates between vigorous straight lines and softer meanders. It is also the occasion to appreciate the ecological richness of the saligues, these flooded and wooded lands of the river bank, endowed with a beautiful density of plants, animals or birds.
