The Puy de Dôme from the Maison de Site

Description
A great classic to be done or redone in all seasons, in fine weather to enjoy the exceptional panorama from the "Géant des Dômes".
Depart from the "Maison de Site" and climb the goat path. The descent is by cogwheel train.
Leave the old Puy-de-Dôme road at the caravan park. Follow signs for "La Font-de-l'Arbre".
Difficulty: Gradual but continuous ascent from the "Chemin des Gouris" crossroads.
Several variants are possible using the Muleteers' path and the Puy de Dôme tour footpath.
Difficult to negotiate in winter (snow/ice); return by cogwheel train at a charge.
