Aime has the highest density of difficult climbs in the French Alps. With eight challenging ascents on the two sides of the valley, there is enough to satisfy even the most demanding cycloclimber.
Coniferous forests give way to alpine pastures as you tick off the hairpins on the roads from the valley to the mountain resorts and villages of La Plagne, Peisey, Les Granges and Plan Bois. The climbs to Les Chapieux and Laval, on the opposite side of the valley, provide fantastic views of the Sommet de Bellecôte and the Glaciers of the Vanoise.
