Rural walk in the villages of the former commune of Léglise, passing through Narcimont and the former convent cemetery.
Starting from the Tourist Office, this walk will allow you to discover the rural landscapes of the villages making up the former commune of Léglise, whose historical habitat was mainly composed of farms. The "Moustier de Léglise" will be your beacon throughout this walk.
The hamlet of Xaimont, the first stage, will allow you to discover its old mill, and the more modern installations of the lagoon. Then, you will cross Wittimont, to reach Narcimont.
On the way, we invite you to leave the road, and to reach the cemetery of the old convent and its atmosphere favourable to meditation.
This place belonged to the convent of Narcimont. However, as can be seen during the First World War, parishioners of Léglise were buried in this private cemetery.
Also, Gennevaux will present you with some older farms, notably from the 18th century, as well as its neoclassical chapel from the end of the 19th century.
Finally, on the way back, after walking along the site of the Gohimont necropolis, excavated between 1974 and 1984, and in the shade of a hornbeam hedge, let yourself be surprised by the Chapelle de l'Espérance and its fresco created by Brother Joseph du Bua and his pupil Alain Brahy.
