From Le Vernet, follow in the footsteps of Emperor Napoleon III as he strolled along the banks of the Sichon.
Departing from the Hurlevents site on the Vernet plateau, this route takes you to the gates of the ancient medieval town of Cusset. A crossing of fields awaits you in this natural setting just a stone's throw from the Vichy conurbation. After admiring the impressive view of the Auvergne volcanoes, head off into the Bois des Fayes and let yourself be guided by the meandering Sichon river.
