Cols et Lacs de l'Encombrette - Panorama du Lac d'Allos
Description
A beautiful alpine itinerary that takes you to the heart of the Mercantour National Park. From the top of the pass, views of Lac d'Allos.
From the hamlet of Clignon Haut (3km north of Colmars towards Allos), take the path that first crosses old fields and then forest, before climbing up to the rocky lock (vertiginous Pas de l'Echelle pass).
The Encombrette cirque appears, with its lakes surrounded by rough alpine grass. You can continue up to the Col de l'Encombrette, which offers a splendid view of Lac d'Allos and Mont Pelat....you're being watched by ibexes! keep your eyes peeled...
