Description

The Attractions of the Route
The ephemeral landscapes powdered with white and pastel pink at the time of the cherry blossoms. The Marcel Coquard water mill built well before the French Revolution on the edge of the Conan.

Until 1996, the large trough wheel plunged into the river thus activating the mechanism which was used to produce flour. The sporty profile of the route punctuated by sometimes steep climbs and successive descents until the last kilometres to reach the village. As rewards for the effort provided, the three beautiful panoramic views facing the slopes of the valley of the Brévenne, from the St-Hubert picnic area, along the path between the Croix de Bernay intersection and the vine hut, then at the high point of the route that of the Ripan chapel.
When and how is to profit from?
With comfortable walking shoes, water, binoculars and a camera.
To the rhythm of the cherry trees: in April, at the very fleeting moment of flowering and in the summer, feasting on the cherries to be tasted directly from the producer or in a farmer’s store. By combining it with the “gourmet walk” formula of the pays de L’Arbresle Tourist Office, which includes a picnic basket provided by a restaurant owner before setting off on the trails. By taking advantage of the very beautiful landscape setting of the site of the Ripan chapel, to take a souvenir photo of your hike in Bessenay.
