Where the mountain begins... such is the village of Meillonnas. At the foot of the Revermont, an old fortified village. It owes its fame and wealth to its earthenware (18th-19th)... and to its quality soil.

Maison de Roger Vailland (1907 - 1965), prix Goncourt en 1957, vécut à Meillonnas de 1956 jusqu'à sa mort, où il est enterré. Il y reçu de nombreuses personnalités, des scènes de films ont même été tournées sur place.
