Saubole : Le long du Lées

When you leave the Saubole town hall car park, turn right and join the Chemin de Gardères on the Eslourenties road. At the entrance to a copse, take the path on the right. Continue until you come to some pretty houses and two magnificent oak trees. Go around them and take the Chemin Lacassagne on the left at the corner of a house. Go down to Grand Lées. Do not cross it and take the track on the left. Reach the crossroads in the grove you passed earlier.

Take the shaded track on the right. It leads out onto moorland and descends to the edge of Grand Lées. At the junction with the road, cross over and take the track slightly to the left. At the end of the track, go back up to the road. Horses may come along to be petted. At a farm, turn right onto a pretty track. After a moment of peace and quiet in the shade, go ahead and cross the Hourquet stream.

Leave the ford on your right, and ignore the track on your right. Climb the track to reach a tarmac road. Walk to a crossroads and fork left. Take the track on the right at the entrance to a copse. Continue along Chemin Lapoudge until you reach the Eslourenties road. Turn left to reach the centre of Saubole.
