Description

A long and beautiful cross-country itinerary. Never forget that these fabulous trails are in mountain terrain and require technique on both the uphill and downhill sections.

The first ascent takes you to the Arponts plateau, partly via a lovely forest track, then onto a magnificent singletrack balcony leading across the mountainside to the Plan Sec Refuge located above the lakes of Plan d'Aval and Plan d'Amont.
The descent from Plan d'Aval is on the Moulinator 1 & 2 enduro trails (back with a vengeance!).
This challenging itinerary requires good physical fitness and a little technique. Exceptional views over the mountains and valley and the guarantee of a high-mountain decor.
Located on the edge of the Vanoise National Park, the Plan d'Amont and Plan d'Aval dams (built between 1945 and 1956) contribute to feeding the power stations in the valley. Both lakes supply water to Mont-Cenis lake, despite the latter being located on the other side of the valley.

Mountain bike fun area - La Dotta

Zone suitable for beginners (supervised) and experienced riders alike. A wide variety of modules: banked turns, wall rides, footbridges, step-ups and even a big air bag to "fly" with your mountain bike (air bag access only with L.A bike school).Mountain bikers and freestylers have the opportunity to practice in this area developed with whoops, banked turns, ramps, etc. There are modules for all levels (beginners to pros). Dirt bikes are necessary for this practice (rental at Everest Sport). An airbag is also available to perform jumps and tricks safely (paid access).

Composed of moguls and banked turns, this area is designed for all types of wheeled machines (non-motorised). 2 interlocking loops (green and blue) and a sliding area (Vulcano and Copings) allow for a wide variety of transitions.

Bus stop N°604 : Le Centre

Bus stop N° 604 : "Le Centre" located in the commune of Aussois. This stop serves the heart of the village with the shops, the town hall and the church. This stop is also a "rezo inch" point for organised hitchhiking.

Ligne S52 Modane - Aussois - Val Cenis Lanslebourg

Line linking Modane to Aussois. On weekdays, it also connects Modane and Aussois to Val Cenis Lanslebourg.Alpine skis and snowboard boots are not accepted on passengers' feet. However, they can be checked in with skis and poles.
