N°15 La légende de Saint-Cyr

Certainly one of the most beautiful routes in Forez-Est!

Starting from Saint-Cyr-de-Valorges, the route begins with a series of ups and downs before dropping into shaded valleys. From the Echancieux dam, a long climb along grassy tracks leads up to Violay. After passing through the village, the trail climbs further into the Monts du Lyonnais before joining a broad track shared with the GR7 long-distance footpath. Here, your mountain bike follows the watershed between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. The route then skirts the lake at Saint-Cyr-de-Valorges, where there is a picnic area, before returning to the village
