From La Croisette in Courchevel (1850), go up the ski lifts to La Saulire (cable car):
- Les Verdions ski lift followed by
- La Vizelle ski lift or La Saulire cable car (depending on which is open).
Buy your pass from the Courchevel Tourist Information kiosk.
Go back down to the pass between the two peaks (Saulire and Vizelle) overlooking the entrance to the Combe de la Saulire. On Les Creux’s side, take the side path to Pas du Lac.
Take a slight turn on the ski piste on the Méribel slope then take the left-hand path up through a rocky area to the top of Les Creux Noirs ski lift (45 minutes).
Go down La Saulire ridge between the two valleys to Col du Fruit.
Take the path on the left to the steep slope down to the Lac des Creux.
Walk along the wide mountainside path up to the old Les Creux mountain chalet. Fork left and continue up the path past the altiport.
This mountain airport was founded in 1961 by Michel Ziegler at an altitude of 2007m making it the first and highest landing strip in Europe with a clear runway all year round!
Go down to the mountain pasture to Courchevel’s first chalets. Return to the resort centre via the ski piste next to the Bellecôte ski lift.
