How about taking advantage of the good weather to go for a walk? From the car park on the banks of the Moselle, this route offers an easy half-day walk for the whole family. There are two possible variations on the route. We advise you to choose the path that crosses the ponds. And why not make a picnic stop. You can then spend the rest of your day discovering the Château de la Grange, which is at the end of the route. But before you get there, make a stop to see the old Saint-François brewery, whose construction dates back to 1772.
SITE CLOSED IN 2024 DUE TO MAJOR WORK. The outstanding collection of 18th-century furniture, objets d’art, ceramics and paintings make this château built in 1731 particularly interesting. One of its charms is that it has been home to the same family for more than 250 years. The recently-created Jardin des Prairiales, a garden laid out by Franck Neau as part of the cross-border “Gardens without Borders” network, provides a beautiful setting for the château.
The Meadow Flower Garden gets its name from the large sections of meadow sown with flowers of all sorts which frame the grand central lawn situated at the back of the château. Enter and discover a contemporary garden which covers exactly the same area as the one which existed when the château was built in the 18th century.
