The start is along a busy road, but the walk becomes a little wilder when it leaves the asphalt to go along the Flavion under the woods. A bench awaits the walker near the charming mill of Sommière. After a short climb to Les Hayettes, you will discover on your left the castle of Montaigle and its farm. You have to cross a meadow with cows to reach the impressive ruins of Montaigle. Back to Falaën after a dry climb and a long passage in the open, from where you can see the bell towers of Maredsous and Maredret.
There are some nice differences in altitude on this mostly asphalted route.
It is possible to park in front of the church.
In Falaën, one of the most beautiful villages of Wallonia, you can eat at Forge-toi, which proposes a cuisine of taste and character made of local products.
