Boudou, a welcoming village situated on the Way of St James, invites visitors to explore its varied landscape. The route winds its way through hillsides, ridges and valleys. Orchards and vineyards form vast geometric patterns, punctuated by irrigation ponds and traditional dovecotes.
Below the village, the 13th-century Romanesque chapel of Saint-Pierre d’Ax is a true historical and cultural landmark. Nestled near the banks of the Saurrèze stream, it is a little gem of stone surrounded by fields. Facing the water, it is steeped in a rural and mysterious atmosphere, thanks to the presence of alchemical symbols on and within the building.
