Les Bois de la Garde - Melle

Come and relax on a walk that combines heritage discoveries and encounters with nature.
Largely shaded by hedgerows and the Bois de la Garde, this walk and discovery trail offers a diversity of landscapes (wooded, rural, undulating...).

Departure and parking near the Fontaine de Mareuil washhouse, at the bottom of the hamlet of L'Epine.

Initiated in the 2000s, the walks are now managed by the Mellois en Poitou community of communes, in collaboration with the local communes. To date, there are 50 of these itineraries, ranging from 1 to 16 km, enabling families, cyclists and experienced walkers to explore the region and discover its many facets (landscapes, small-scale heritage, etc.).
