The heritage of Plancoët

Description

Let yourself be guided by this path of reading which will make you discover the richness of the heritage of Plancoët. You will be amazed by the maritime heritage, built and architectural details of this pretty village flowered between sea and countryside.
Apart from a staircase, the route is practicable in strollers.
The origin of the name Plancoët comes from the Breton "flat" and "coët" forest but for Marie-Paule Salonne, poetess native of Plancoët, "plan" would mean Country, or Plancoët: Pays du Bois!
The Plancoëtin heritage is very rich, and is related to the Arguenon river, which flows into the sea at the Guildo. Arguenon comes from Breton Ar Guenon: the white river, because its bed fills with every important tide of a white and natural foam.
