The Col des Peygus offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Chenaillet, Grand Charvia and other key peaks in the valley. The ascent is accessible and offers panoramic views all along the way.
From the Chalets d'Izoard parking lot, take the path towards the chalets of the same name.
Follow the path up to the ruins of the Chalets d'Izoard, then continue through the Percagne valley along the Ravin d'Izoard stream.
Once you have reached the small lake at the source of the Ravin d'Izoard stream, turn right towards the Col des Peygus. This last part of the climb is partly through scree. Take care.
Return by the same route. It is also possible to extend the itinerary by descending on the other side of the pass towards the old Lausette fort, then ascending towards the chalets d'Izoard in the form of a loop via the Talias and Loubatières woods.
From 01/06 to 15/10 daily.
Subject to favorable snow and weather conditions.

It's essential to prepare your outing before setting off (appropriate clothing, bring water and snacks, tell those around you about your route, don't set off alone...).
If in doubt, or if the route becomes complicated, don't hesitate to turn back.
