Chavanette Lake from Avoriaz

A nice walk and short to have a nice view on Avoriaz.
Start from Jean Vuarnet Place in the Hauts Forts sector. You can also start from "place du Snow" and take the path going down between the Snow and the Allegro buildings.
1-You will pass in front of the "Trappeurs" and "Chez Flo" restaurants to reach the start of Lac Intrêts chairlift.
2-Continue via the footpath that follows the right banks of lake. Here, there's neither trees nor shade, so if it's a very hot day, keep an eye on your children who can dehydrate quickly. The track keeps going until the end of the lake.
Variant - You can carry on uphill on a trail starting on the left of Choucas chairlift. The path passes by a small lake and continues until the Chavanette pass. When you reach this point you will standing on the French-Swiss border with a beautiful view of the Valais and the Swiss resorts of the Portes du Soleil.
3-Come back by the same way.
