Description

History, ludic place and local products a stone's throw from Avoriaz, an ideal familial walk!
From Avoriaz, go to the Falaise sector, walk down between the Malinka and Saskia buildings and take the large stony path in downhill following signs for Proclou.
1-Take the small path on the left into the wood (follow "Lappiaz sign") until you reach the mine and its vista. The path is right on the top of the cliff, hold on children's hands. From the mine, retrace your steps and continue on your left on the path going under the golf.
2-Downer you will find on your right the entrance of the Lil Stash, the unique place with suspended cabins in the trees. ideal for a family break in the shade!
3-Come back on the trail and follow the "Ferme de Séraussaix" signs. Be careful, at this point the area is bike friendly as well. From the farm, come back under the road and take the footpath that heads off towards Avoriaz through the meadows, where the flora is abundant and varied. Keep going 40min until you'll find the golf club house. Then continue straight to reach Avoriaz back in 20 min.

Lappiaz Slate Mine

The historical discovery of slate in Morzine dates as far back as 1732, found in all the cliffs overhanging the Valley de Sous le Saix (Slate Valley). In the Lappiaz mine, the slate was quarried and made use of between 1856 and 1963Difficulty: None but can be slippery underfoot on rainy days

Visit to the Seraussaix Farm

Visit the farm and its animals and discover the life and know-how of mountain farmers. The farm is located on the Terroir et Savoir-Faire du Haut-Chablais route.Guided tour of the farm (approximately 1 hour) followed by a small tasting of farm products – Fee of €15 per adult and €10 per child (3-12 years old). Free for children under 3. Meeting on-site at 10 a.m. You will attend a fully guided tour of the farm buildings: explanations on herd management (breeding, forage production), cheese making and aging, the farmer's profession, etc. At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity, if you wish, to purchase our products in the store.

The Stash bivouac

The Avocamp consists of 4 large canvas bivouac tents, each accommodating up to 5 people, totaling a maximum of 20 people. In 2 tents, sleeping is on inflatable mattresses, in the other 2 on camp beds: you can choose the one you prefer! The rental is offered for one complete tent. You do not share your tent with others. However, if you only reserve one tent, the second tent may be occupied by another group at the same time as you. Equipment available for each tent: 5 inflatable mattresses or 5 single camp beds with disposable protective covers, 1 battery-operated camping lamp, 1 outdoor metal storage trunk, 1 20L water container.
