Si vous croisez un troupeau, il est souhaitable de contourner largement l’aire de pâturage ou de repos des brebis, ainsi vous respecterez la quiétude du troupeau et par la même occasion le travail du berger. Si vous vous tenez suffisamment à l’écart du troupeau, la plupart du temps, le chien n’aboiera même pas et peut-être ne remarquerez vous pas sa présence. – Dans le cas où le chien vous détecte, il vous signale sa présence en aboyant et en s’interposant devant le troupeau et vous indique de ne pas approcher. Il est alors préférable de continuer votre chemin sans vous rapprocher des animaux* Il existe des situations où le chien viendra en contact direct avec vous en aboyant, en vous flairant ; soit parce que vous vous êtes approché trop près du troupeau, soit parce que la zone de protection du chien est relativement grande. Dans ce cas de figure, il convient de rester calme et passif. Après avoir effectué son inspection, soit le Patou regagnera rson troupeau et vous pourrez reprende
Description
The Lac du Goléon site is only accessible to hikers after a climb from Valfroide; the proposed itinerary over the beautiful "Cruq des Aiguilles" pass offers a varied, more alpine alternative.
From Les Hières, follow the good carriageway along the valley towards Valfroide and 500 m before the Entraigues parking lot, turn left onto the tractor track towards "la Sauce";
Cross the hamlet then climb (east) towards the Serre Coupa kidney; spot and follow the path that winds steeply up the "côte Lombarde" and at around 2200 m reaches flatter grassland that leads to the ruins of Puy Garnier (2346 m).
From this point continue northwards, crossing a small stream and continuing slightly uphill to pass close to the water catchment area (drinking water supply for the hamlets of La Grave).
It's easy to spot the Cruq des Aiguilles, an attractive U-shaped pass 300 m higher up.
Climb the first steep slope up to the ridge overlooking the valley (ruiniform rocks), then after a short flat at the foot of the pass, reach the pass via a steep, stony slope (2707 m).
The descent to the refuge and lake is on the other side (east), over grassy slopes cut by small rocky projections.
After a well-deserved break, take the steep, stony downhill path through hay meadows to the hamlets of Valfroide, then the wide track back to the starting point of the itinerary at Les Hières.
PS: it is possible to drive from Les Hières to the Entraigues parking lot, but the junction is difficult.

Drive through La Grave (towards Briançon), take the tunnel out of the village and turn right just outside. At the crossroads, turn right towards the hamlet of Les Hières and park in the parking lot at the entrance.
