Description

This 21-km route starts in front of the Charleroi Town Hall, whose belfry is a UNESCO-listed heritage site. The trail also includes the Golden House (la Maison Dorée), one of the icons of Art Nouveau in Charleroi, and the BPS22 Museum of Contemporary Art.

In the direction of Jumet, the tour will introduce you to the Varia, a former theatre, whose outer wall enjoys listed status, as a testament to the Viennese Jugendstil. As you continue your journey, you will discover the Church of St. Sulpice. Take the opportunity to relax with a stroll in Bivort Park, on the Trévieusart slag heap or quench your thirst at the Pircha café. Return to Charleroi along the Charleroi-Brussels canal. Along the way, St. Michael's Priory and the Chapel of Notre Dame de Heigne.

The tour ends with a visit to districts in Dampremy and Place Charles II and its St. Christopher's Basilica.
