GR2013 - A08 - From Port-de-Bouc to La Mérindole

The Ranquet beach extends over 1,850 m2 to the south-east of the town of Istres. A key feature of the district, its development and that of its immediate surroundings will reinforce the family identity of the site.A supervised beach on the Etang de Berre, where you can relax and unwind. Facilities : - Picnic areas - floating platform anchored 2.5 m deep for bathers - Accessibility and parking for the disabled - self-contained first-aid station and sanitary facilities Supervised swimming from June 18 to September 11. This summer, from 12pm to 6pm on weekdays and from 11:30am to 7:30pm on weekends (and public holidays), access the beach by electric tuk tuk (free of charge) The City of Istres is renewing the closure of the Ranquet district for the 2023 summer season. The weekends of June 17, 18, 24 and 25 will be affected, followed by the period from July 1 to September 3 inclusive.

Marina with over 200 moorings on the west side of the Etang de Berre.Facing east and backing onto the Heures Claires plateau, this site is home to a nautical base for sailing and windsurfing on the vast Etang de Berre. The terraces of the restaurants and the tranquility of the site are much appreciated by walkers. The port is also a place for festivities: water fleas, "oursinades", guided boat trips in season... Please note: Major redevelopment work has begun at the Port des Heures Claires. In addition to the extension, with 160 additional berths, the entire facility (including the nautical base) is being reconfigured to enable all users to make the most of it. Parking spaces will be created, and a pedestrian promenade will be laid out, along with water sports-related shops.
