On the tracks of Jean de la Fontaine.
1) Come down the rue de la Chapelle, and go left on the rue de Crécy. After passing the N°10 of the street, follow the path behind the farm infrastructures on the right, which leads to the recently restored wash-house. Backtrack and follow the rue de Crécy to the right, until village’s exit. At the edge of the park’s wall, take the path on the left that goes through the fields. On the tarmac road: Pajotte, go right.
2) On the first bend, where Pajotte joins the D228 road, cross carefully and continue down the chemin de Paris (Path of Paris), former Roman way and hiking trail GR1, on a dozen of meters, where this path is cut by the Dhuis aqueduct. Take the path running on the top of this structure punctuated with small characteristic kiosks allowing the access to the network, on the right. Cross the village of Chermont and continue up to Boutigny where the path is blocked by railings at the crossing of the garden of the former presbytery. Leave the Dhuis and enter the village via the ruelle du presbytere.
3) On the place of the church (rue de Vincelles), go left rue du Barrois up to the last houses, on the left, to join the Dhuis path.
4) On the left after the golf, in the cultivated field, a grove masks the vestiges of a wash-house, only the masonry of a well emerges from the vegetation. At this level, leave the Dhuis and take the path on the right, take the chemin du Belou to enter the hamlet of Prévilliers, a village formerly dreaded by the inhabitants surroundings, afraid of the evil spells of his wizards. At the stop, go left rue de Baubery, pass in front of the well and take the right on Grande Rue, and take the chemin de Vaucourtois on the left at the stop. At the fork continue to the left on the stone path. Straight up, after Prévilliers, continue on the stone path, cross the A4 highway, continue up to the road connecting Villemareuil to Vaucourtois, cross it and to continue on the opposite path coming down towards the few houses of Lihou.
5) Take the road on the right, go alongside the Saint-Quirin fountain on your left. Continue this road up to the village of Vaucourtois. Approximately 300m after the village sign, take the path of the recently restored wash-house. Backtrack and take the the road to the right.
Pass in front of the church on your left, and turn right on the rue Courtier at the crossroad. Continue this road and on the bend, take the second road to the left, chemin des Eponteaux.
6) 200m further, take the path on the right in the direction of Coulommes. Cross carefully the D228 and the D125, continue this way, leaving a grove to the right to the right and the cemetery of Coulommes to the left. Join the small tarmac road and go down towards the right. Halfway up, at the crossroad, follow the grassy path on the left. We can stop at the vestiges of the wash-house of Pissotte. Continue by going back to Coulommes up to the rue de Bretagne. Take this road on this road, then left rue de Fosse Adret to join the D87, to be followed to the right.
7) Take the first path to the left, before the agricultural hangar, then to the right continue on the plateau until the T, go right. Back on the D87, go left in the direction of Quincy-Voisins. Cross the highway and go down the valley’s hollow.
8) Leave the road, and take the stone path on the right, then the first grassy path on the right which goes back up towards Magny Saint-Loup by following the walls of the park of the former castle where La Fontaine came to look for inspiration.
