The Sarenne Ride
Description
This short, circular ride is perfect for families and beginners. A gradual climb up the track, followed by a faster ride down on the "Chemin de Pêcheurs" next to the cool Sarenne River. Both fun and bucolic!

ROUTE
From Huez, ride up the 4WD track towards the Col de Sarenne, alongside the Sarenne Gorge, to the
restaurant at La Combe Haute.
Once there, turn around and take the fork immediately to the left, signposted Village d’Huez par le chemin des pêcheurs.
This «Fishermen’s path» winds its way between the 4WD track and the Sarenne river.
The less experienced may find some sections a little difficult, but the low gradient slope makes it easy to stop and put your feet down if necessary. In any case, this fun path provides MTB thrills, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced mountain biker.
In three places, the path goes back up the 4WD track.
In each case, keep an eye open down to the left to ensure you get back on the Chemin des pêcheurs.

Steps
Huez village
Park your car near the village of Huez. Ride up the track along the Sarenne gorge to La Combe Haute restaurant (4km)
La Combe Haute Restaurant
From the restaurant continue the track to the junction of the Col de Cluy track.
Step 3
Keep on track to rise gradually to the col de Cluy.
Towards Col de Cluy
Before climbing to the Col de Sarenne turn right onto the Col de Cluy track.
Col de Cluy
Tour the Signal de l'Homme via Auris, continue straight on the track or on the path.
Chapelle St Giraud
At the chapel you can reach the road and follow it until Auris or stay on the path.
Auris en Oisans
In Auris, on the right, take the track that goes up to le Col de Maronne (1697 m). Steady climb.
Col de Maronne
Once at the col, continue around the Signal de l'Homme until you find the track before the col de Cluy.
Ride down into the Sarenne valley
At the col you can ride down into the gorge to the bridge "Le Gua" by the path, stiff, or quietly take the track.
Sarenne gorges
Take on the left until the restaurant.
Le chemin du pêcheur
After the restaurant, be carreful because the fun part of the ride is here : the path of the fisherman. On the left, between the stream and the track, there is a rolling path, very playful. The path leaves the track and go back several times. At the end you are back to Huez village..
