As you climb, there is a lovely view over Cugnasse, Peyrolles and Le Clap. On the way back down, you can see the Penrieu farmstead on the right.
The old houses in the hamlet of Peyrolles were all built on the rock, both to save arable land and for convenience (as building materials were sourced locally).
