The Castle of Quincy
Description
This itinerary takes you to the confluence of the Grand Morin and the Marne passing by the heights of the Castle of Quincy.
1) At the exit of the Couilly-Saint-Germain-Quincy train station head towards the right to reach the D934. Go right, cross the train tracks and the Grand Morin (picnic spot). Take the path on the right that goes along the Grand-Morin before going left and reaching the road. Follow it for a few meters and take the path on the right. Pass the church and take the rue Pasteur on the right, a street on the left, the rue des Caves on the right, and finally the path on the left. Follow it until reaching a road and go left.
2) Step into the path on the left and turn right, then left, staying at the edge of the wood. Take a slight right to walk along the ru du Corbier and head towards the same direction. At the crossroad, go left on a path that leads to the castle of Quincy. Go around the castle’s park, pass the cemetery and the church and go towards the rue Thiers. Turn left, cross the D436 and reach the Dhuys aqueduct. Follow it on the left until the D85p.
3) Take the road on the right, continue on the path in front and walk along the stream on the left. At the houses, follow the street on the right and go down following the road on the right.
4) At the crossroad, go left on the path that leads to the canal. Follow the towpath. Pass on the bridge-canal above the Grand-Morin and go left to follow the river. Reach and cross the canal and follow the other bank towards a road. Then turn right, go straight via the rue du Général Leclerc to attain the Esbly train station.

1. Départ de la gare de Couilly-Saint-Germain-Quincy
À la sortie de la gare de Couilly-Saint-Germain-Quincy se diriger vers la droite pour rejoindre la D934. Tourner à droite, traverser la voie ferrée puis le Grand Morin (point pique-nique). Prendre la sente à droite qui longe le Grand- Morin puis s’oriente à gauche et rejoint la route. La suivre quelques mètres et prendre la sente à droite. Dépasser l’église et emprunter la rue Pasteur à droite, une rue à gauche, la rue des Caves à droite et enfin le chemin à gauche. Le suivre jusqu’à une route et la prendre à gauche.

S’engager sur le chemin à gauche puis tourner à droite et à gauche en restant en lisière du bois. Virer à droite pour longer le ru du Corbier et continuer dans la même direction. Au carrefour, s’orienter à gauche dans un chemin qui conduit au château de Quincy. Contourner le parc du château, dépasser le cimetière et l’église et poursuivre jusqu’à la rue Thiers. Tourner à gauche, couper la D436 et atteindre l’aqueduc de la Dhuys. Le suivre à gauche jusqu’à la D85p.

Prendre la route à droite, poursuivre par le chemin en face et longer le ru à gauche. A l’orée du bois, monter à gauche. Aux maisons, suivre la rue à droite et descendre par la route à droite.

Au carrefour, prendre le chemin à gauche qui rejoint le canal. Poursuivre par le chemin de halage. Passer sur le pont canal au-dessus du Grand-Morin puis faire un crochet à gauche pour suivre le Grand-Morin. Rejoindre le canal, le franchir et poursuivre sur l’autre rive jusqu’à une route. Tourner alors à droite, continuer en face par la rue du Général Leclerc pour atteindre la gare d’Esbly.
