Description

Follow the Chemin des échaliers and cross a region with a wide variety of landscapes: hedgerows, orchards, fields and crops, rivers and streams, a hilly, sometimes wooded and always picturesque region!

This west-east axis starts in Stembert, on the outskirts of Verviers, the Walloon water capital, and continues towards Goé, Membach and Eupen, the capital of the German-speaking Community of Belgium.

Did you know that? Stiles are devices that allow pedestrians to cross a fence or hedge surrounding a meadow without allowing livestock to escape. A stile can take different forms (ladder, gate, turnstile, etc.). The walker thus goes from stile to stile, from meadow to meadow, from discovery to discovery... Could be done with your dog, on foot.

Map of the walk available at the Maison du Tourisme du Pays de Vesdre and on the E-shop. (Only available in French, German & Dutch)
