Face à l'entrée de l’abbaye, aller à gauche puis, après avoir passé le petit pont, traverser la route et prendre à gauche le long de la route. Continuer sur le chemin.
Au premier carrefour tourner à gauche et prendre la route forestière qui part derrière la barrière.
Au premier carrefour prendre le chemin forestier à gauche. Arrivé à la route, traverser et aller à droite jusqu’au village de Baillon. En arrivant à la mairie annexe, aller à gauche puis prendre le petit pont et tourner à gauche.
Longer le canal puis le mur. Quand le mur fait angle aller sur le chemin à gauche derrière la barrière et continuer à le longer. Continuer dans l’allée en forêt et au bout, aller à droite pour rejoindre l’abbaye.
Pour découvrir les étangs et le palais abbatial, continuer en partant face à l’abbaye vers la droite. Longer la route en restant sur le bas coté gauche.
En arrivant à la route départementale, prendre à gauche en longeant le mur. Prendre de nouveau à gauche en continuant à longer le mur.
A l’angle, traverser la route et partir vers la gauche sur le bas coté. Retraverser sur le passage piéton pour aller à gauche sur le pont et rejoindre l’abbaye.

Entourée d’étangs et de ruisseaux, l’abbaye royale de Royaumont fut édifiée au XIIIe siècle par Saint-Louis. Remarquable témoin de la prospérité cistercienne, elle recèle quelques trésors de l’architecture gothique. Le réfectoire au carrelage décoratif médiéval, le bâtiment des latrines traversé par un canal, l’immense cloître et le jardin des moines sont absolument incontournables.
