Between the Rhosnes and the Scheldt

Departing from the Maison des Randonneurs, the woody landscapes of the Mont de l’Enclus are followed by the agricultural fields of the Scheldt valley. The river and its affluents structure the landscape here and also the economic activity in the region. From the green route along the Scheldt, you can observe the constant ballet of the barges; each of them transports the equivalent of 45 semi-trailer lorries of 30 tons! On the road, you follow and cross the Rhosnes, one of the many affluents of the Scheldt. From its source in the Pays des collines its bends give the celloise countryside its bucolic character.
