A long winding ribbon of 17 km and 410 ha fed by the mountainous waters of the Maronne.Its 69m high arch dam was built in 1950 to produce electricity. The spruce-wooded slopes that border it give it the proud appearance of a mountain lake. The lake is home to one of Europe's largest heronries, and predator fishing is an unforgettable experience: day permit (€12) or holiday permit (€33) on sale at www.cartedepeche.fr or from Camping Paradis La Gineste. Beach facilities + boat launch: La Gineste (southern bank) and Longayroux (northern bank).

In L'Acajou, you will find the authentic taste of our farm cheese made from 100% raw milk from Salers cows. Golden Farmers' Award (Prix “Fermier d’or”) in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2020. Beef charcuterie: sausages, terrines, rillettes, jellied knuckles.

Classic or electric railbikes departing from Nieudan.Several tours are available, from 1 hour to a full day and mostly shaded. New: the "Pont du Rouffet" circuit: 20 km round trip by electric railbike, beach and picnic included. The Pédalorail transport 4 adults or 2 adults + 3 children without age limit. This wild and unspoilt site is well worth the effort: after a short but steep climb, you'll reach the sober yet charming St.Victor Church, which crowns the rocky spur.
