Sévignacq : sentier des vieux moulins (petite boucle n°18)
Description
A small variation of 7.5 km to the big loop of the old mills. Discover the magnificent church of Saint Pierre with its remarkable Romanesque portal dating from the middle of the 17th century. The monument was classified in its entirety in 2004. All along the hike, you will take paths at the foot of the wooded hillside. This loop is rather intended for mountain bikes.

Etape 1
A l'église, laisser derrière soi le portail de l’église en prenant à droite au premier carrefour menant vers la traversée de la D 42. Prendre la descente goudronnée qui parcourt la vallée du Gabas et grimpe vers le petit plateau. Tourner à droite et rejoindre la D 227 à emprunter à gauche sur 300 m pour atteindre et traverser la zone d’activités en restant dans la plaine. Longer le pied du coteau boisé.
Etape 2
Pour revenir à Sévignacq (variante) boucle 18, prendre en face sur la piste traversant la plaine et remonter au sommet du coteau en rive droite du Gabas. Au sommet, prendre à droite et traverser le bourg. Prendre à gauche vers la mairie puis le sentier à droite avant le long du parking de l’école pour revenir par la route face au portail de l’église.
