Lème : du Luy au Lous
Description
In the commune of Lème, from the steep slopes of the Luy de France to the thoroughbred meadows of the Bosquet stud farm, you will enjoy the calm of the banks of the Luy de France. This trail is also historical: at the beginning of the century, in 1925 and 1936 on the communes of Auriac, Thèze and Lasclaveries, the Prince of Wales and King Alphonse XIII hunted the fox. In the village of Auriac, the meeting place, all the gentry came from Pau, in costume. The nobles of the region were invited: the Marquis of Palaminy, Mr Prince, the Baron of Ariste, Lamontagne and an American Miss Annie Hutton...

Etape 1
En bordure de la D 944 entre Thèze et Lème. Prendre le chemin de Mousté s’engageant dans le bois et descendant dans la vallée du Luy de France. Une fois sur le goudron de la plaine, rester sur la voie principale jusqu’à la patte d’oie. À ce niveau, prendre le sentier à droite, dissimulé sous les arbres et remontant le coteau en longeant les tunnels de fougères utilisés comme affûts de chasse à la palombe. Le sentier devient piste pour atteindre le sommet du coteau.
Etape 2
Traverser la D944 légèrement sur la droite vers le chemin de Daurat puis prendre à gauche avant le haras que l’on aperçoit. Continuer tout droit en laissant les deux intersections sur la gauche, et traverser le petit pont sur le Lous pour contourner le bosquet et atteindre le goudron de La Poudge.
Etape 3
Prendre à droite puis la première piste de nouveau à droite permettant de rejoindre les abords du haras du Bosquet. Juste avant les bâtiments, prendre à gauche puis à droite pour remonter vers la D944 au point de départ.
