Avec son allure médiévale, cette tour, construite en 1957, est située à l’emplacement d’un ancien château féodal, disparu depuis plusieurs siècles. Il permettait de surveiller les passages entre le Haut et le Bas Limousin grâce à son emplacement stratégique au sommet de la colline.

Meuzac est une commune rurale de 750 habitants au cœur du Limousin. Située à mi-chemin entre Limoges et Brive via l’autoroute A20 à 4km, elle s’attache à conserver son caractère rural tout en développant une politique économique active pour le bien-être des résidents et des visiteurs.

Romanesque church of Saint Roch. There are three features that make Meuzac one of the oldest parishes: its size, its vocation and its baptismal font. Meuzac has a church of St. Roch, dedicated to Saint-Pierre-es-Liën. It is a 12th-century fortified church. Romanesque in style, it has two similar bell towers. It houses a polychrome wooden statue of Saint Roch, as well as a recently restored canvas depicting him. The church is built on a simple plan, with a single nave and semicircular apse. The nave was probably rebuilt in the 17th century, so only the Romanesque chevet is of any real architectural interest. The roof is made of "lauzes", a traditional French roofing technique. A stained-glass window depicting Saint-Pierre-es-Liën can be found inside.

Les Albums du Père Castor were created and directed by Paul Faucher from 1931 onwards. They have been translated into many languages, and are the fruit of the collaboration of artists, illustrators, authors and educators. Even today, this collection is a best-seller in children's literature. From his beginnings as a bookseller with Flammarion in 1921, to the manufacture and distribution of the Père Castor album collection, Paul Faucher methodically built up and collected his archives until his death in 1967. Since 2017, the archives have been listed on UNESCO's Memory of the World register, a program for the protection of documentary heritage. The archives can be consulted by appointment during opening hours at the Maison du Père Castor in Meuzac.
