The restaurant is right in the heart of the Paradiski® area, in the forest of Montchavin/tLes Coches (La Plagne).The whole team from Le Joli Bois looks forward to seeing you for lunch in winter, or for a drink on the terrace in summer where you can enjoy the superb views of Mont Blanc and the Tarentaise valley Here is an idea of some of the dishes on the menu in our restaurant (serving 12 - 3pm): - Joli Bois salad: lettuce, tomato, toasted Reblochon cheese with honey, lardons. - snails -filet mignon with honey, crozets -cheeseburger with Reblochon cheese served with French fries. and, of course, our blueberry tart...and other homemade desserts. In winter: On foot: you can get to Le Joli Bois on the Le Chanton/Vanoise Express snowshoe trail that leaves from Les Coches On skis, follow signs to Les Arcs, the restaurant is just next to the Vanoise Express. In summer, open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 10.30am The restaurant offers a small selection of drinks, ice-creams... By car: follow signs to valley of Les Bauches from Les Coches, the restaurant is in the bend just next to the Vanoise Express. Vanoise Express
To get between the ski areas of La Plagne and Les Arcs, you take the world's biggest and most prestigious cable car: the Vanoise Express.A real technological marvel, the Vanoise Express is an ultramodern cable car with two cabins, each with two levels, each with a capacity of 200 people, for a total capacity of 2000 people per hour in each direction. It takes just 4 minutes to cross. The cabins cross the valley 380 meters above the ground, travelling from the Peisey station (altitude 1612 m) to the Montchavin-Les Coches station (1548 m). Over a 1824 meter distance, the cabins pass over the picturesque Ponturin valley, offering panoramic views of Mont-Blanc, the Beaufortain massif and the North Face of Bellecôte glacier, Paradiski®'s legendary off-piste itinerary. Guidebook with maps/step-by-step
Start from Place de l'Etoile in Montchavin
1/ Follow the path going towards Montchavin chairlift
2/ Walk up the trail that goes past Espace Paradisio to "Le Replat" (telephone relay)
3/ Follow the small road for 50m then turn left onto a path that climbs in the forest and brings you under the cable car cable
4/ At a small junction, turn right to keep going up. After a few switchbacks you come to the cable car station
5/ If it is open, you can take the Vanoise Express to the village of Peisey (return trip)
6/ On the way back, take the path down through the houses. It follows a pretty knoll and comes out at a ruined chalet
7/ Go left to the reservoir then Les Coches ice rink.
8/ You can go back down to Montchavin on Les Coches gondola or on the Telebufette
9/ When you come out, go towards the circus tent to go through the tunnel and follow the small asphalt road.

From there, take the main street of Montchavin, as soon as you arrive in front of the Dos Rond restaurant, turn right down the alleyway, then left again, then right, and you'll arrive at the Place de l'Etoile, where the walk starts.
