Description
This is a lovely walk through clearings and little "montagnettes" mountain huts, with outstanding views over the valley and the Beaufortin Mont Blanc mountains.
Go down Montchavin's main street, turn left and then straight ahead on rue du plan (sidewalk) to reach a stop sign. From here, cross the road to reach the parking lot, which you will walk up towards the Trek 6D entrance sign.
Climb up this vast clearing through a number of picturesque hamlets to reach Praz Salvard.
Turn left to reach Crévaillet and then the hamlet of l'Orgère.
Head downhill towards the resort, then take the narrow road through the tunnel to Montchavin.
