This route gives you an opportunity to discover "le Bief", a canal that used to carry water
to supply the little "montagnettes" huts used only in the summer for watching over livestock. This is a pleasant, relaxing walk with wonderful views over the valley and Mont Blanc.
Starting from Les Coches, make your way to the Orgère car park. From there, go off to the right to Crévaillet and after 2 hairpin bends, you get to a large clearing, which is the starting point for the themed walk (with an explanatory table). The path goes off slightly uphill to the left, crossing over the ski runs 4 times before arriving in Le Chanton. From here, you can either return to Les Coches on a narrow road or else carry on towards Fontaine Froide and then along a forest track to the hamlet of Les Bauches. In this case, you then go back via the same route to Le Chanton.
