Thanks to the FFRandonnée and the village of Xertigny for the creation of this hike and for the work done by their teams throughout the year to mark out and maintain these paths. Marking: yellow rectangle n°8.
This route, half of which is divided between woodland and farmland, offers a wide variety of views of both natural elements and marks left by man over the years.
Park at the Woodies car park in Rue de la Vallée de l'Aître. The trail can be done in both directions following the 08 markings. This trail crosses the Epinal-Belfort railway line twice, passes under the Moulin Maurt Viaduct and offers a lovely view of Xertigny on arrival in the anticlockwise direction. The Woodies site is a lovely place to spend a holiday by the water. It was designed by the Pays d'Epinal and the commune of Xertigny to promote the possibilities of using beech wood in construction.
