Description

Stroll through fields, undergrowth and dry and wet ponds, with views of the Bugey and Mont Blanc. Along the way, discover the Tour du Plantay (not open to visitors), remnant of the castle burnt down in 1460 by the Duke of Bourbon's troops.

Close to the ViaRhôna and the Voie Bleue, the Dombes is also a great area for cycling, walking and horse-riding! It's up to you to choose your itinerary and means of transport...

Breathe in, breathe out, you're in the Dombes.
Imagine the Dombes, land of a thousand ponds, as a festival of colors, scents and sounds. The deep blue of the water contrasts with the many greens of the vegetation. The intermittent concert of frogs is accompanied by the songs of wild birds. Sit back for a moment and watch the ballets on the calm waters of the ponds. The grey heron, master of the area, may even grace you with its presence!

So, what could be better than a stroll to visit and discover the Dombes in slow motion?

Leaving the grove, at the Le Jonc signpost, continue right along the path. Continue along the Étang Grand Béron, visible on the right from the circuit.
At the Les Echaillays sign, turn left towards Le Perret and continue along the dirt track.

At the Bois de Charnay post, turn left onto the tarmac road towards Le Perret.
After Les Étrets, leave the road and continue straight ahead on the dirt track.
At the Perret sign, at the end of the track, take the road on the left towards Petit Étang Chabodière and follow it for about 1 km.
At the bend in the road, keep right towards the village. Once in the village, turn left as far as the church.
