La Crotte to Les Munes

La Crotte to Les Munes
La Crotte to Les Munes

Description

From the Munes pastures, the view of Praz de Lys plateau, the surrounding mountains and Mont-Blanc is breath-taking.

A wild and peaceful valley, far from the crowds! Heaven on earth for wildlife observers... If you’re very patient, you might see some bighorn sheet at the Pointe d’Uble.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

From the car park, take the footpath on the right that quickly leads up to the Chalets de Rosset. Then go left along a path through the mountainside pastures, at the foot of the green Pointe d’Uble. The path then reaches the river and passes nearby the Cascade des Munes waterfall. A few hundred metres higher, you’ll reach Les Munes pastures and its traditional chalets. Herds of cows graze here in the summer. Come back along the same route.
