Description

[Montgellafrey area]
A red level path (medium) . around 2h45 long.

Starting point on the «Place de la Madeleine». at Saint-François Longchamp 1650. Take the path on the right of the Odalys Bellevue nuilding (see the «balade des Hameaux» n°9). Just before arriving at the «Replat», take the track going up on the right. At the following intersection, take on your left, headong to the «Lac de la Grande Léchère». Cross the «Petit Bois» and then reach the carriage way of the Grande «Rigole». Continue to follow the signs in the direction of the lake. You arrive above the lake with a great view on it.

0 : Departure : Place de la Madeleine
1 : Take the path on the right of the Odalys Bellevue residence. Go down then turn right at the first intersection to join the hamlets of Cochenières and Colombe.
2 : Just before the hamlet of Le Replat, take the path that goes up on your right. At the first intersection turn left.
3: Continue on the path through the Petit Bois to the refuge and the Grande Léchère lake and admire the view.
