After hiking up the mountain, you will be rewarded with an exceptional panoramic view over the Mont Blanc massif, the Beaufortain and the Vanoise. The Lac Sans Fond, a mountain lake in a magnificent setting, is waiting to be discovered.

CURIOSITIES:
The Petit Saint-Bernard hospice: built in the 11th century, it is the symbol of a long tradition of hospitality, it offered room and board for all passers-by threatened by bad weather. Now restored, the hospice offers an information point as well as an interactive exhibition on the history of the pass. On the spot lodging-restaurant.
The Joux column:
located next to the Hospice, the Joux column is a monolith
where sits at the top the statue of Saint-Bernard de Menthon, patron saint of mountaineers.
The Alpine Garden of Chanousia:
located at 2172 m, it is an alpine garden that brings together
1,000 species of mountain plants. It is open to the public from July to mid-September.

Petit Saint Bernard pass

Border between the Haute Tarentaise and the Aosta Valley, this tray (2 188m) has seen many travelers since ancient times. The Romans aménagèrent a channel to the Middle Ages and Ht St Bernard built a hospice that welcomed 15,000 passengers in 1923.Today The cervix is the starting point for many hikes and offers among others a view of the Italian side of Mont Blanc. It is part of the Espace San Bernardo ski area uniting the resorts of La Rosiere - Seez (F) and La Thuile (I). The hospice has become a tourist information point and a gite.
