The Lessy lake
A 5 hour walk (return trip) from Chinaillon will take you to this mountain lake lying in a gulley at the foot of the arête between the Pic du Jalouvre, the Buclon and the Aiguille Verte.From the arête itself a wonderful view opens up over Lake Geneva, the Jura mountains and the Aravis range to Mont Blanc. The lake, at 1730 m, is on the Grande Randonnee no.96.
