A secret garden created by a man and a woman of stubborn passion, this unusual, overflowing site is a hymn to creation. Patios, courtyards, galleries, alleys, arbors, lounges, ponds and fountains have been organized like a giant jigsaw puzzle to create an innovative, mixed-race garden where country poetry and oriental refinement come together brilliantly. The different areas each have their own identity and are an invitation to dream: les Loges de la folie, la Cour des calades, le Jardin andalou, l'Allée des roses, le Jardin de curé, le Jardin délice, la Galerie des palmettes or la Galerie des lyres... Yet the unity of this architectural and landscaping ensemble emerges through the founding elements of the Secret Gardens, always present and always renewed: wood, flowers, pebbles, lime mortar, copper and water. From April to October, it welcomes an average of 40,000 visitors, who discover an extraordinary family history, a unique and unusual site, and a guaranteed change of scenery... A 13-minute film on the history of our gardens prefaces the visit, which is then freely guided by signposts and interpretation panels, photos, explanatory totems... This little paradise of freshness and serenity was awarded the Trophée du Tourisme Vert, the "Vacances en France" prize, the Qualité Tourisme label, the Jardin Remarquable label in 2018, the Médaille de Bronze du Tourisme in 2022 and the Prix de l'Art du Jardin de la Fondation Signature in 2023. The scent of spices has always attracted the curious, dreamers and gourmets in search of the exotic. Nicole and Alain are among them. They've had fun dramatizing a new space by building a colorful and refined décor around the word "Spice", where a farandole of fruits, vegetables, plants, herbs and spices take to the stage in their finest finery.
