.The Marienfloss chapel is a remnant of a monastery that has existed for several centuries, since 1238. It was first inhabited by Cistercian nuns, then by Carthusian monks from Trier, and finally by canons. In 1415, the Rosary, a special prayer to Mary, was created thanks to the confessor of Margaret of Bavaria, Adolf of Essen. At the entrance to the present-day chapel, a modern mosaic depicts the various stages of Marienfloss' life. In the 20th century, after twenty years of effort, the restoration of the sanctuary of Marienfloss, of which the town of Sierck is now the guardian, was completed in 1982 in the presence of MSG Paul-Joseph Schmitt, bishop of the diocese of Metz, and the bishop of Essen in Germany (the home town of Adolphe d'Essen, founder of the Carthusian monastery of Marienfloss and author of the world-famous Mysteries of the Rosary.

The quartzite outcrops in the municipality of Sierck-les-Bains are spread over 10 hectares in the valley of the Montenach stream between the Sulzen mill and the Marienfloss chapel. The geological interest of the Taunus Quartzites lies in the very old age of this geological formation of eruptive rocks dating from the Devonian (primary era). The presence of a siliceous rock in a limestone area allows rare acidophilous plants to flourish. A discovery trail runs through the site. Four educational panels provide an understanding of the environments traversed.

Located around Robert Schuman's house, this garden invites you on a botanical tour. You will discover some of the plants obtained at the beginning of the century by the nurserymen of the Moselle and a wealth of ideas for your own garden, examples of flowering plants and also new lesser known plants. Your tour will take you from the traditional kitchen garden to the classical garden and then to the contemporary garden where you are in for a surprise. The garden of wild grasses concludes the tour.
